BE THE CHANGE
Each year, Catholics fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. By fasting, followers are supposed to feel humbled and become closer to God. Fasting also gives us more time to pray and reflect spiritually. On those days, we are supposed to only eat one meal. On a normal day, people eat three meals. So what happens to the money that people use for those other two meals? Maybe people buy themselves a reward. Maybe the money is put towards bills. I can tell you that the money is never put in the collection basket or put toward charity. So my mission is to donate the money not used for those two meals to soup kitchens or food pantries so that those who don't get meals on normal days will have a chance to receive food from our charity.
